About Me
My name is Dr. Michelle Dunn. I have a PhD in Forensic Psychology. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2010 from California State University, Fresno. I also received two Masters degrees in 2012 from Alliant International University, Fresno: a Master of Science degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior. I then earned my Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Forensic Psychology in 2015 from Alliant International University, Fresno.

I have worked with both children and adult clients from ages 2 and up. I have experience conducting a variety of psychological assessments, as well as providing individual and group therapy. My psychological assessment experience covers a gamut of tests, referral questions and diverse clientele; however, my professional experience has most recently focused on psychodiagnostic assessments, assessing for intellectual disability and autism. I have a passion for the field of psychology and helping individuals gain better insight and growth.

During your evaluation, we will take the time to get to know you and your family. We want to understand your goals for seeking an evaluation and any concerns you may have. We will ask you questions about your health, background, medical history, mental health, current symptoms, and more.

You can expect to spend several hours with us on the day of your evaluation. In some cases, we may need to schedule additional testing sessions in order to obtain all the health information we need.

At the end of the evaluation process, we will provide you with a comprehensive report that includes our findings and recommendations. We will also meet with you to discuss the results of the evaluation and answer any questions you may have.

Autism Spectrum Disorder
We believe that it is essential for children with suspected ASD to be evaluated at an early age to ensure that they are provided with the assistance and treatment that they require to attain their full potential. This disorder assessment process is broken down into multiple steps. Such as:

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
We administer comprehensive testing to diagnose ADHD. We will also want to know how symptoms influence a person's everyday emotions, behavior, efficiency, and lifestyle choices.
Pre-bariatric Surgery
We address the behavioral and psychological causes of obesity to make sure you're qualified and ready for surgery. We are licensed clinical psychologists who regularly conduct pre-bariatric surgery psychological evaluations to ensure that all the surgeon needs are fulfilled for them to make an informed decision.

Cognitive
We provide cognitive evaluations that assess for overall intellectual abilities and provide an overall IQ score. These tests can help in determining intellectual functioning for gifted programs and/or help in identifying areas of strengths/weaknesses intellectually. While these evaluations are less extensive than our comprehensive evaluations, they still provide valuable information in understanding you/your children.

Therapy
Dr. Dunn does not currently offer therapy, as she mainly focuses on assessments. However, Dr. Dunn does supervise doctoral trainees who are completing their practicum at our practice. These students have availability for therapy at a reduced, private-pay rate.
